TrucklineMP September 2026 Release

This release brings a completely new homepage and product pages, a rebuilt company directory and redesigned company pages, redesigned news, events, polls, stats and download pages, release notes as part of News, employee IDs, a talent pool connecting drivers and recruiters, RSVPs for events, a new FAQ, rebuilt two-factor authentication on TrucklineMP ID, and a broad security hardening pass across the website, TrucklineMP ID, the game services, recruitment and our Discord bots.

If you use an authenticator app for two-factor authentication, you will need to set it up again after this release. Every authenticator setup has been reset. See "Two-factor authentication, rebuilt" in the TrucklineMP ID notes below for what that means and what to do.

Developers integrating with the TrucklineMP API should also read the separate API change notice. Some changes in this release are breaking.

TrucklineMP Website v1.6.0

A new homepage

  • The homepage has been rebuilt from the ground up. It now walks through the whole platform in one story: a video hero ("Your truck, your style") with Download and a guided tour, live network totals for registered drivers, companies and upcoming events, and a highlight reel of the physics you can feel in-game (collisions, suspension and friction).
  • "Next departures" features the next convoy with its route, live status, a countdown to the start and how many drivers are going, followed by the convoys coming up after it, all shown in your local time.
  • "Find your company" is a scrolling wall of verified companies, including those that are currently hiring.
  • "Built for companies" shows what running a company on TrucklineMP looks like: roles built from 84 permissions, one inbox for applications, and member activity that shows who drives your events and who has gone quiet.
  • "News and releases" shows the latest news next to a "Recently shipped" strip. Each entry opens its release notes.
  • "Who we work with" introduces our partners. Where a partner has a code for TrucklineMP drivers, you can copy it with one tap.
  • The page closes with an FAQ preview and a download section with a button for your system, requirements for Windows, Linux and the game, and a link to what's new.
  • Live numbers only appear once they are meaningful, and if one data source is unavailable, only that section hides. The rest of the page keeps working.
  • The hero video starts once the page has loaded. Phones, Data Saver, very slow connections and reduced-motion settings get a still image instead, so phones never download the video.
  • The homepage is more accessible: a skip link, a proper page heading, reduced-motion support for video and animated figures, labelled videos, larger touch targets, and styles for increased contrast, reduced transparency and forced colours.

Product pages

  • A new Product section at /product introduces everything TrucklineMP offers, with a "Recently shipped" log.
  • Five dedicated product pages cover Multiplayer, Companies, Events, Community and Developers. Each has its own animated "night drive" hero, feature chapters built on live data (the next convoy, the company wall, the departures board, the latest news), code samples on the Developers page, and its own share card for link previews.
  • A new Product menu in the navigation links to all of them.
  • Public pages share one calmer, consistent look: flat dark surfaces, thin dividers, sentence-case headings instead of all-caps labels, and the accent colour used sparingly. This covers the homepage, news, events, companies, bus companies, polls, programs, drivers, team, server status, stats and download pages.

Frequently asked questions

  • A new FAQ at /faq answers 28 common questions across seven topics: getting started, about TrucklineMP, multiplayer and convoys, companies, account and security, fair play, and developers.
  • It has instant search, a sticky topic list, and a direct link for every question with a "Copy link" button. The homepage FAQ now uses the same answers.
  • The former TruckersMP comparison page and the "Security & Transparency" page have been folded into the FAQ. Old links redirect to the matching FAQ section.

Company directory, rebuilt

  • The trucking company directory (/vtc) and the bus company directory (/vbc) have been rebuilt and now load fully rendered.
  • The header shows how many companies there are, how many drivers were active this week and how many companies are recruiting now.
  • The directory is organised into sections:
    • "Most active this week", the three busiest companies of the past week (or established companies when the week is quiet);
    • "All companies", the full searchable list, most active first;
    • "New companies", companies founded in the last 30 days;
    • for trucking companies, "From partner companies", the latest posts from official and partner companies.
  • Companies are shown as cards with their banner, logo, slogan, driver count, language, game and region, a "Recruiting" badge, and the company's own accent colour.
  • Search and filters: search by name, tag or description, then filter by language, region, game (ETS2 or ATS), up to five play styles, trusted companies (verified, partner or official), recruiting status, in-game tag and company size. Sort by Recommended, Most active, Most drivers, Newest or A–Z.
  • Filters live in the URL, so a filtered view can be bookmarked or shared. Older links keep working.
  • Activity-based ranking. Companies are ranked by real activity: drivers active this week, events hosted and upcoming, events joined, news posts, new drivers and how quickly applications are answered. A complete profile gives a small boost. Rankings are recalculated every hour.
  • Each company card can show useful facts at a glance, such as the next convoy, "X of Y drivers active this week", events hosted this month, "Usually replies within a day" and new drivers this month.
  • /vbcs now redirects to /vbc.

Company pages, redesigned

  • Every company page has been redesigned around a clear navigation: Home, Updates, Events, People, Gallery and About. The header shows the logo, banner, member and event counts, founding date, and badges for recruiting, unlisted and private companies.
  • Visitors see the latest updates, the company's story, the next departure, its drivers, the gallery, and a company desk with recruitment status, entry requirements, contact details, key facts and the company's network of partners and sister companies.
  • Members get a personal "Welcome back" view with a company inbox (updates, event changes and support replies), their roles, employee ID and member-since date, their next event commitment including waitlist position, the status of any leave request, and open support tickets.
  • Applicants with a pending application see its status and reference number right on the company home.
  • A new Updates page brings a company's news, published events, recaps and gallery additions into a single feed, with pinned posts and comment and reaction counts.
  • A new About page collects the company's story, rules, facts (members, founding date, country, timezone, language, games, tag, status), contact details and socials including a Discord widget, network and recruitment requirements.
  • People can now be searched by name or Web ID and filtered by company role.
  • Gallery albums. Albums have covers and shareable links, unlisted albums are reachable by link only, and an album can be tied to an event and a capture date. Event pages now show "Photos from this event", albums from the companies that attended. Images whose links stopped working are hidden automatically.
  • Applying to a company, checking an application and contacting company support now share one consistent layout with clearer states, including when you are already in a company or the application form isn't published yet. Sign-in prompts explain who will see your answers.
  • Old /vtc/<id> and /vbc/<id> links redirect to the company's handle URL, and a bus company opened under /vtc (or the reverse) is sent to the right place. Unlisted and private companies are kept out of search engines.

Running a company

  • The management area has a grouped, searchable menu, organised into Workspace, People, Content, Operations, Insights and Organization.
  • Timezone and play style. Owners can set the company's timezone, which the directory uses for region matching; it is prefilled from your browser when you create a company. Trucking companies can also pick up to three style tags: Realistic, Casual, Convoys, Beginner friendly, Long haul, Heavy haul, Roleplay, Competitive, Voice chat and International. Both are available when creating a company and in Manage › Settings.
  • The gallery manager has been rebuilt. It adds search and type filters, bulk publish and hide, an inspector for title, caption and album, and albums with a description, visibility, cover, linked event and capture date. Items can be moved and reordered, and broken links are flagged. New Discord CDN image links are declined with an explanation, because Discord makes them expire after about a day; existing ones keep displaying.
  • Employee ID appearance. Choose whether members' employee IDs show the company logo, and pick an accent colour, with a live preview.
  • API access for your company. Owners can create developer API keys scoped to their company, and review or revoke the keys and webhooks that act on its data.
  • Event management now uses RSVP wording throughout ("Approve RSVP", "Decline RSVP", "Publish event").
  • Management pages have clearer loading, empty and filter states and properly labelled controls for applications, members, news, events, roles, support and verification.

Employee IDs

  • Every company member now receives an employee ID, a clearly labelled fictional transport credential. It shows your name, handle, employer, role, ID number, issue date and a verification QR code.
  • It appears on your company home and in a new "Company credentials" section next to your platform driving licence, with a selector if you belong to more than one company. It can be downloaded as a PNG.
  • Anyone can verify an employee ID at /employee-id/<serial>. The page confirms an active affiliation, or shows "Credential inactive" with the end date for former members.

Talent pool

  • Drivers can now list themselves as "Open to drive" from Settings › Driver profile. Add a headline, a short introduction, your games, country, timezone, languages, availability, hours per week, what you are looking for, and tags.
  • Showing your company history is optional. When shown, it lists how long you were with each company, never why you left.
  • Listings are visible only to recruiters at companies with open recruitment. They expire after 90 days, with a reminder 14 days before, and you can pause, remove or refresh yours at any time.
  • Companies with open recruitment can browse the pool from Manage › Talent pool, filter by game, country, language and availability, and invite a driver to apply with an optional personal message. Invitations have daily limits.
  • Drivers see incoming invitations with Apply and Decline buttons, and get notified about new invitations and listings that are about to expire.

Events and RSVPs

  • Events now use RSVPs. Your response is Going, Interested or Not going, with waitlist and approval states where the organiser needs them. "Maybe" is now "Interested". Event check-in has been removed.
  • You decide whether you appear on RSVP lists. Organisers choose who can see the list (everyone, confirmed attendees or organisers only), and each person decides whether their name and avatar are shown. Existing RSVPs are hidden from lists until you opt in, so your RSVPs haven't disappeared; they're just private by default.
  • New privacy setting: "Event activity". Choose who can see your RSVP activity on your profile: Public, Followers or Only me. It starts as "Only me" for every account. The profile figure "Events attended" is now "Event RSVPs".
  • Events publish immediately when created. Drafts stay private until you publish them.
  • Recurring events (weekly, every two weeks or monthly, until an end date) now create every occurrence up front. Each one has its own page and RSVPs.
  • Choose the server from a list of live game servers when creating or editing an event, instead of typing it in.
  • The events page (/events) is now a weekly schedule. The header counts events that are live now, this week and upcoming, next to a clock in your local time. A spotlight shows what's on the road right now or what's next, and a "This week" strip shows how many events each day has. Pick a day to see its schedule, with anything further out under "Later".
  • Search events by name, switch between upcoming and past, and filter by organiser (official, partners, companies or personal) and category. Filters are part of the page link, so a filtered view can be shared, and the page arrives fully rendered.
  • The event page has been redesigned. A status label (Upcoming, Starting soon, Live, Finished or Cancelled) updates by itself, with a countdown to the meetup or start, how many people are going out of the capacity, and your RSVP in one panel. "Starting soon" means within the hour.
  • The page is split into clear sections: about, details (including required DLCs and the company sign-up deadline), rules, route map, depot slots, event staff, companies, people going, the organiser with a link to their company calendar, and links. It also offers "Add to calendar", "Photos from this event", a way back to the company's events, and clearer validation messages when creating or editing.
  • Signed-out visitors see a "Sign in to RSVP" prompt, and cancelled or finished events say so at the top.
  • Company calendars (/vtc/<handle>/events) have been redesigned. They show your own RSVP on each event, group series, and offer "Add to calendar".
  • Calendar downloads (.ics) now also work for community events. For privacy, they are no longer offered for members-only events or for events of private and unlisted companies, and a company's calendar feed only works for public, listed companies.
  • The separate event recap page has been retired. Recaps now appear on the company's Updates feed and on the event page.

News and release notes

  • News has been redesigned. It opens with the lead story and what else is new, followed by the latest posts with their date and reading time. Search by title, filter by category (with post counts), browse the archive by year, or open every post by one author. Filters are part of the page link.
  • Release notes now live in News. Launcher, website, API, bot, docs and recruitment releases are posts in a new "Releases" category, labelled with the product and version. All existing changelog entries have been moved over.
  • The separate changelog page has been retired. /changelog now opens News › Releases, and so do the "Changelog" link in the menu and "See what's new" on the homepage.
  • Articles show the publish date, reading time and category up top, and end with a "Written by" card that links to more from the author, the post's tags, the next story, and buttons to copy the link or share on X.
  • Articles support richer content: before-and-after comparison sliders, image galleries with a lightbox, changelog blocks, and video embeds that load only when you click them, so nothing is fetched from YouTube until you choose to watch.
  • Articles now load fully rendered, which also makes them faster to appear and easier to share. Link previews use the article's short summary when it has one.
  • The homepage has a new newsroom section.
  • An RSS feed is available at /news/rss.xml. It includes release notes.

Polls

  • Polls have been rebuilt, and each poll can have its own accent colour.
  • The polls page lists open polls with their status (Open or Closing soon), whether you've voted, supporter-only polls, the number of questions and when results are shown. When you're allowed to see results and a poll has at least five votes, the leading answers appear right in the list. Closed polls are listed under Results with their vote count and closing date.
  • Each poll tells you how your vote is stored: "Your vote isn't linked to your account" or "Only staff can see who voted". Required questions are marked, you can change your vote where the poll allows it, and polls that haven't opened yet show when they open.
  • Community polls show a closing countdown ("Closes in 3h 20m"), tell you clearly if the poll closed while you were answering, and check required answers before you submit.
  • Results states are clearer: "Vote to unlock results", "Results unlock when the poll closes" and "Results not published". Share cards show when a poll is live.

Profiles and driver licence

  • Profiles have in-page navigation between Status, Identity, Highlights, Community, Activity and Record, each with a short description.
  • A new, entirely optional checklist helps make your profile easier to recognise: image, handle, bio, company and public link.
  • Your Steam connection now shows your Steam display name instead of a shortened Steam ID.
  • Your driving licence can be downloaded as a PNG, front and back. Violations on the card now use plain labels such as "Reckless driving".

Settings

  • Settings have been reorganised into Profile, Account & security, Preferences, Community, Billing & data, and Account removal. Every page has a short description, and phones get their own section navigation.
  • A new "Profile style" page lets supporters try themes, frames and effects with a live preview before saving.
  • A new "Driver profile" page manages your talent pool listing.
  • The save bar is clearer, and if your profile changed in another tab, you are warned and offered "Reload profile" instead of your changes silently overwriting the other ones.
  • Connected accounts now explain why a link failed: the link expired, was already used, or you were signed in as someone else.
  • Two-factor authentication is now managed on TrucklineMP ID. Account & security shows whether 2FA is on and warns you when you're running low on backup codes. "Set up 2FA" and "Manage two-factor" take you to TrucklineMP ID, and the website no longer has its own setup form or code screen. See the TrucklineMP ID notes below, including the reset of all authenticator apps.

Account status and appeals

  • "Your standing" is now "Account status" at /account/status. Old links redirect.
  • It opens with a summary (no active issues, action required, or access suspended). Each active action shows the service it applies to (website, forum, Discord, game or account), its start and end dates, what it affects, and a direct link to appeal it or follow your appeal. Current restrictions and 12 months of history are listed below.
  • After a ban is lifted, your next visit shows a one-time "You have been unbanned" notice with the original reason and scope, which you confirm before continuing.

Support

  • If a moderation action is active on your account, the support page tells you and links straight to review and appeal.
  • Creating a ticket now ends with a "Review your ticket" step that jumps to any incomplete field, and suggested articles now include documentation.
  • The confirmation after creating a ticket shows your case reference and what happens next, and follow-up surveys can open a follow-up ticket.
  • Replies from a support team now show the team's name instead of an individual's name, on the website and in the app.

Stats and server status

  • The stats page (/stats) has been rebuilt with new charts: live player counts with the time of the last update, network history over a period you choose, players split between ETS2 and ATS, daily active drivers over the last 30 days, every server as it stands right now, the busiest hours of the week, peak records, community growth and daily sign-ups over the last year, and moderation activity.
  • A "Top drivers" leaderboard ranks drivers by hours driven, with sessions and days active. It shows the top of the list and can be expanded to everyone on it.
  • Playtime is counted from this release onward. To be left off the leaderboard, contact [email protected], as described in the Privacy Policy.
  • The server status page (/status) has been rebuilt. An overview shows how many servers are online, players online and network load, and servers are grouped by region with their player count, how full they are, tick rate, collisions and weather. It refreshes every 30 seconds, shows when it last updated, and arrives fully rendered.

Drivers directory

  • /users is now the Drivers directory. Look anyone up by name, @handle or SteamID64. Your search is part of the page link, so it can be shared.
  • Without a search it lists the newest drivers, each with their company (and whether they own it), public staff role and community badges, plus totals for drivers, drivers in a company and drivers who joined this week. Only public, listed companies are shown.

Community programs

  • The Programs and Recognition pages have been rebuilt around the people recognised: how many members each program has recognised, who was recognised most recently, and what each program gives you (a profile badge and a Discord role).

Download page and launcher sign-in

  • The download page has been rebuilt. It detects your system and offers the matching download: the Windows installer, or the Linux AppImage (beta) when a Linux build is published. Each build shows its version, size and SHA-256 checksum with a copy button, and the page explains how to check the file in PowerShell or a Linux terminal. A checksum is only shown when it matches the file currently being served.
  • "What's new" shows the notes for the latest launcher version, and the release history lists every launcher release with a link to its release notes in News.
  • "What you need" lists Euro Truck Simulator 2 on Steam with at least 7 hours played, a Steam account, beta access and the minimum PC, and explains that the client checks its own integrity and collects hardware and system identifiers to enforce bans.
  • Opening the page on a phone or a Mac tells you the launcher runs on Windows and Linux PCs.
  • Launcher sign-in links now last 30 minutes instead of five, so signing in with Steam along the way no longer leaves you with an expired link.
  • Approving the same launcher link again works, and expired or used links take you back to the start instead of showing an error. The approval screen stays open, and changing the language keeps your session.
  • If your account uses two-factor authentication, you complete it before approving the launcher.

Navigation and mobile

  • A slim loading bar replaces skeleton screens. When you open another page, a thin progress bar at the top of the window shows that it's loading, instead of flashing grey placeholder blocks.
  • The main menu has been reorganised into Product, Resources (Download, Changelog, Server status, FAQ), Explore, Companies, Community and Help. "My tickets" appears when you are signed in, and Download now sits in the navigation bar. Changelog opens the Releases category in News.
  • The navigation bar appears straight away with your account, notifications and settings, instead of showing a placeholder until the page has finished loading.
  • Keyboard focus stays inside open menus, a failed sign-out now shows an error instead of failing silently, and the account menu says "Account status" instead of "Standing".
  • The footer loads faster and now links to the FAQ.
  • Mobile polish across the site:
    • pinch-to-zoom works again;
    • iPhones no longer zoom in when you tap a form field;
    • screen notches and safe areas are respected;
    • tap targets are at least 44px;
    • wide tables turn into stacked cards on phones;
    • company roles can be reordered by touch;
    • actions that used to need hover are reachable on touch screens;
    • the licence card scrolls on small screens.

Search engines, link previews and feeds

  • News articles, events, the company directory and company pages now arrive fully rendered, so search engines and link previews see the real content, with structured data for articles, events and the FAQ.
  • Page titles and share images are more descriptive, and every page gets a proper 1200×630 share card.
  • The sitemap is generated live and includes public news, events and companies.
  • New discovery files: /llms.txt, /.well-known/api-catalog and /.well-known/security.txt, which lists [email protected] for responsible disclosure.

Performance

  • Pages open faster. When you point at, focus or tap a link, the site starts loading that page in the background, so it is usually ready by the time you click. This is skipped when Data Saver is on or the connection is very slow.
  • Pages are much smaller to download. Each page now loads only the text it actually uses instead of the whole site's translations, and code that only some pages need is no longer sent to every page.
  • Images are optimised again (AVIF or WebP) and cached for longer.
  • Company pages, the directory, news, events, the drivers directory, server status and the footer are rendered on the server for a faster first view.

Developers

  • New public endpoints for company events, event co-hosts, company partnerships, company recruitment forms, the playtime leaderboard and daily active drivers.
  • Company-scoped API keys and a new company management API, so a company can automate its own news, members, applications and event attendance with keys limited to that company.
  • Five new webhook events for company applications, role changes, event attendance and news, and several catalogue events that never fired are now delivered.
  • Release notes are available through the news API (kind=release), and the news and event lists accept new optional filters.
  • Some changes are breaking, including three removed endpoints, narrower webhook delivery and stricter OAuth rules. See the separate API change notice for details and migration steps.

Removed

  • The first-run onboarding flow. /onboarding now goes to your dashboard, and handles are optional and can be set from Settings.
  • The persona tutorial, including the character overlays, section tours, the onboarding tour, "Restart onboarding" and the notification-bell sound.
  • The company owner tour and "Reset setup guide".
  • The lore page (/fun/lore) and the "Personnel archive" footer link.
  • The TruckersMP comparison page and the "Security & Transparency" page, both now part of the FAQ.
  • The event recap page, event check-in, and the "submit for review" step for events.
  • The separate changelog page. /changelog now opens News › Releases.
  • The two-factor setup form and code screen on the website. Both now live on TrucklineMP ID.
  • The "Request partnership" button on other companies' pages. Partnerships are now requested from Manage › Partnerships.
  • The previous homepage and directory sections, replaced by the new designs above.

Security

  • Security fix: two-factor authentication can no longer be skipped. A session that hadn't finished the 2FA step could still make some account requests, list or revoke sessions, and approve the launcher. All of these now require completing 2FA, and if the 2FA check itself can't run, access is refused rather than allowed.
  • Security fix: "Sign in with TrucklineMP" is harder to abuse. Authorization codes are stored hashed, expire after two minutes and work only once. Re-using a code or an old refresh token signs that app out entirely. Consent is tied to the account that started it, and apps from suspended projects or apps that failed review can no longer sign anyone in.
  • Security fix: private and unlisted companies stay private. Their roles, event series, news reactions, scheduled news, comments, recaps and news feeds are no longer visible to people outside the company.
  • Security fix: public profile and API lookups no longer reveal membership of private companies, or roles that aren't meant to be public.
  • Security fix: the account status page only shows records for your own linked accounts, and the "Hide external configurations" setting now also hides them from your activity timeline.
  • Security fix: company permissions are now strictly scoped to that company. A manager of one company can no longer act on another company's roles, applications or depot-slot requests. Owners and yourself can no longer be blacklisted, companies can't mark their own events as featured, and linking a bus company to DBus World now checks that you own it.
  • Security fix: members who leave a company lose edit rights over posts they wrote there, and a company API key stops working as soon as the person who created it loses the permission it relies on.
  • Security fix: webhooks only deliver events about companies and accounts the subscriber is allowed to see.
  • Security fix: people appealing a decision no longer see internal notes or other people's identities on their appeal, and support tickets returned to you no longer include internal fields.
  • Security fix: only the owner of an API key can rotate it.
  • Security fix: supporter-only and scheduled news posts no longer appear in the public news feed, the sitemap or link previews before they are meant to, and now return a proper "not found" to people who can't see them.
  • Security fix: deleting your account signs you out of every session, push notifications follow the right account after switching accounts on a device, and account-linking race conditions are closed.
  • Rate limits now protect public lookups, company support tickets, help-article views and feedback, support attachment uploads and recovery-code regeneration, and cookie-based API writes are protected against cross-site request forgery.
  • Company input is validated more strictly: role colours must be real colours, names and nicknames are length-checked, and gallery images that were taken down can't be republished.

Fixes

  • Fixed company application pages showing placeholder text instead of the real form text.
  • Fixed saving a company's general settings when the company had no country set.
  • Fixed profile links containing encoded characters (/@handle) returning "not found".
  • A temporary loading problem on a profile now shows "try again" instead of a misleading "user not found".
  • Fixed a case where saving your profile could overwrite changes made in another tab.
  • The notification sound and pop-up no longer play on every page you open while you have unread notifications. They now only play when a new notification arrives.
  • Signed-in pages no longer show a full-screen spinner while the site checks that you have accepted the latest legal documents.

TrucklineMP ID v1.2.0

Signing in

  • Signing in with Steam no longer signs you out on your other devices.
  • Clearer sign-in and registration errors. Every failure now explains what happened in plain language, links to help where it's useful ("Open Steam privacy settings", "Check Steam status", "Contact support" and more), and includes a copyable reference code for support. This covers private profiles or game details, not owning ETS2, low playtime, new Steam accounts, closed access, banned accounts, blocked cookies and sign-ins that timed out.
  • After an error, you return to the page you started on (Sign in or Create account), and you still end up where you were heading.
  • Sign-in errors are now available in German and Polish, following your browser's language, with English as the fallback.
  • If Steam is having an outage, you find out in about 16 seconds instead of waiting up to a minute.
  • Signing in from the forum now takes you back to the forum instead of the main site.
  • If the human check doesn't load, the message now explains that privacy extensions or strict tracking protection can block it. Create account has the same "Retry verification" button as Sign in.
  • New error, "not found" and loading screens, a mobile bar that switches between Sign in and Create account, and a Contact link on every sign-in page.
  • No more dead ends after signing in. If a check after sign-in doesn't respond, ID retries once and then offers Try again and Sign out, with the reassurance that your account is fine. Previously some players were shown a 2FA screen they couldn't use.

Two-factor authentication, rebuilt

  • TrucklineMP ID is now the one place to enter and manage two-factor authentication. Many players had trouble getting past the code step, and codes were asked for in several places that each worked a little differently. There is now one setup page and one code screen, and everyone starts fresh.

  • Every authenticator app setup has been reset. With this release, authenticator app 2FA is turned off on every account. The old codes in your app, your backup codes and your trusted devices no longer work. This is a clean restart of the feature, not the result of a security incident.

  • Passkeys are not affected. If you added a passkey, it keeps working exactly as before.

  • What you need to do if you used an authenticator app:

    1. Sign in as usual. You won't be asked for a code this time.
    2. Open id.trucklinemp.com/security, or on the website go to Settings › Account & security and choose "Set up 2FA".
    3. If asked, sign in with Steam again to confirm it's you.
    4. Choose "Set up authenticator app", scan the QR code (or enter the key) and type the 6-digit code it shows.
    5. Save your 10 new backup codes somewhere safe. They are shown only once.

You can delete the old TrucklineMP entry from your authenticator app, since it no longer works. If you didn't use 2FA, nothing changes for you.

  • If you were signed in but hadn't finished the code step when the reset happened, you'll need to sign in again. Any open request to have 2FA removed has been closed, since there is nothing left to remove.

  • Accounts that must use 2FA, such as staff, are taken to the setup page at their next sign-in.

  • One page for everything: /security on TrucklineMP ID covers your authenticator app, backup codes (with how many are left and "Get new codes"), passkeys for this device or a security key, and trusted devices, which you can forget one by one or all at once.

  • Setting up 2FA for the first time asks for a fresh Steam sign-in. Changing an existing setup asks for a recent 2FA check. Turning off the authenticator app also stops your backup codes and signs out your other devices.

  • One code screen everywhere. Signing in and confirming sensitive actions use the same screen. It submits as soon as you've typed 6 digits, lets you switch to a backup code (or use your passkey, if you have one), and tells you whether a code was wrong or had already been used ("Wait for the next code in your app").

  • "Don't ask again on this device for 30 days." Tick it at the code step and that browser won't ask for a code again for 30 days. Sensitive actions such as deleting your account or approving a QR sign-in still ask for a fresh check.

  • Backup codes are 16 characters long, can be typed with or without dashes and spaces, and each one works once. When you use one and three or fewer are left, you're offered a new set.

  • Lost access to your phone or passkey? Choose "Lost access" on the code screen. You can use a backup code, or send a recovery request describing anything that proves the account is yours, such as your Steam profile, when you joined or your company. It needs a linked Steam account and at least 20 characters.

  • Our team reviews recovery requests, and a request can't finish in less than 24 hours. Once approved, sign in after the waiting time and 2FA is removed automatically, your other sessions are signed out, and you're offered to set it up again. Found your phone or a backup code in the meantime? Just sign in with it and the request is cancelled.

  • If someone requests recovery on your account, the security page warns you and lets you cancel the request.

  • The code screen has a "Sign out and use another account" button.

  • If your account uses 2FA, you now finish the 2FA step before changing your email, deleting your account, managing your sessions, or linking and unlinking connected accounts. Accounts without 2FA are not affected.

  • The security page has been redesigned to match the rest of TrucklineMP ID and shows placeholders while it loads.

Account deletion

  • If you use 2FA, you confirm it before deleting your account, unless you verified in the last 15 minutes or enter a code in the form.
  • Deleting your account now also signs out the mobile app and the game launcher and cancels pending Discord role updates. Your uploaded files (avatar, banner and support attachments) are removed through a cleanup process that retries until it succeeds.

Updated legal documents

  • Platform Rules 1.4.0, Terms of Service 1.5.1 and Privacy Policy 1.14.0 take effect with this release, and you'll be asked to review and accept them at your next sign-in.
  • The Rules now describe alt-account and ban-evasion checks in full: automatic restrictions only happen on a near-certain match against a ban that is currently active. They also add rules for company advertising and company-scoped API keys, and extend metric manipulation to playtime, leaderboard statistics and ad metrics.
  • The Terms of Service cover the public stats page and playtime leaderboard, company advertising and company management API keys, and recruitment calendar sync and talent pools.
  • The Privacy Policy covers achievements, community badges and translator credit, calendar sync and talent pools (including how to object), company advertising and ad analytics (no IP addresses are stored), company API keys and webhooks, gameplay statistics and the public playtime leaderboard, new processors (Google Calendar and Microsoft), and an updated retention table.

Security

  • Security fix: Steam sign-in now verifies that each login was issued for TrucklineMP and for this exact sign-in attempt.
  • Security fix: a sign-in must be completed in the browser that started it, so nobody can quietly sign you into their account. QR sign-in completes only in the browser that displayed the code, and never restores a session you have signed out of.
  • Security fix: two-factor authentication is enforced consistently for account changes, mobile app sign-in and QR sign-in. Approving a QR sign-in requires a fresh check, and a code that another account has already scanned is refused.
  • Security fix: the mobile app can now bind its sign-in to itself, so another app that intercepts the sign-in link can't use it. Retrying after a dropped connection returns the same session instead of an error.
  • Security fix: attempts to guess 2FA codes are now limited per session and per account.
  • Security fix: name and avatar changes always go through the website's name rules and cooldowns.
  • Security fix: return links after sign-in are checked more strictly.
  • Security fix: ban checks during sign-in now hold even if the database has a temporary problem, instead of letting the sign-in through.

Fixes

  • Fixed players with one- or two-character Steam names being unable to create an account.
  • Fixed sign-in pages occasionally getting stuck loading after an update.

TrucklineMP Game Services v0.2.0

Staying connected

  • Disconnecting or switching servers no longer ends your game session. Previously, leaving a server signed your game session out straight away, so a dropped connection or a server switch meant restarting the game. Your session now stays active for as long as you're on a server, and for 30 minutes after you leave, so you can reconnect or join another server without restarting.

Moderation

  • Staff can issue bans, kicks and mutes straight from their own game client, and nobody can moderate their own account.

Launcher sign-in

  • Launcher sign-in now runs on the game services, so the approval link keeps working for its full 30 minutes (see the Website notes above).
  • Opening a launcher session link in a browser no longer shows an error page.

Playtime statistics

  • The game services now record per-account playtime: total hours, number of sessions, days active and a daily history. This powers the new stats page and playtime leaderboard on the website. Counting starts with this release; earlier sessions are not included.

Live map

  • The live map stays up with many simultaneous viewers, because everyone now shares a single position feed.
  • When a live map connection is refused, for example because too many viewers are connected, you now get a clear reason instead of a generic connection error.

Security

  • Security fix: a launcher sign-in can only be collected once, so nobody else can pick up your launcher session, and requests to start a launcher sign-in are rate limited.

TrucklineMP Recruitment v0.0.9

Applying

  • A confirmation page after you apply. "View confirmation" opens a thank-you page with "Track application" and "Return home".
  • The application form opens straight away. Eligibility is worked out before the page loads, so the "Syncing eligibility data" wait is gone.
  • Only open positions offer a form. Hidden, inactive and "Coming soon" roles now show "Position unavailable" instead of a form that couldn't be submitted.
  • If your Discord account isn't linked, submitting now tells you exactly how to fix it: Settings → Connections on trucklinemp.com.
  • One active application at a time, reliably. Submitting to two roles at the same moment can no longer create two active applications, and you get a clear message if you already have one.
  • Follow-up questions behave the same in the form and on submit: they appear as soon as the question they depend on is answered, and a hidden required follow-up no longer blocks you.
  • Deadlines now show a time as well as a date, in your chosen timezone, without repeated timezone abbreviations. Relative times read naturally ("2 hr. ago", "yesterday").
  • Countdown badges, "Closes …" labels and the Apply button only appear for rounds that are really open, so a paused round no longer looks open and then fails.
  • If your recruitment block has been lifted, you are no longer told you aren't eligible. Former team members whose role has ended are no longer turned away as internal accounts.

Your applications

  • The unread badge on My applications now counts messages from the recruitment team.
  • Active and concluded counts are correct: unsuccessful applications count as concluded, and applications hidden for duplicate review are no longer counted.
  • If your application changes state while you are withdrawing it, you now see "This application cannot be withdrawn" instead of the status being overwritten.
  • A reopened onboarding task can be ticked off again.
  • Editing your answers after submitting now saves all changes or none.

Across the site

  • A sticky button on phones: "View open positions", or "Apply for this role" on a position page.
  • The home page has a clear "View open positions" button.
  • New "not found" and loading pages.
  • The footer has new Terms, Cookies and Contact links, and a "Privacy settings" button to change your analytics choice at any time. The Privacy link now points to the TrucklineMP ID privacy policy.
  • Every page has its own title, and shared position links show the role's title, summary and banner.
  • Accessibility improvements: animations respect reduced-motion settings, and form controls, the withdraw-reason picker and the timezone picker have accessible names.

Security

  • Security fix: quiz answers, scoring and internal position settings are no longer sent to your browser with the application form.
  • Security fix: positions that aren't open no longer expose their application form or questions.
  • Security fix: the Discord-link requirement and the one-active-application rule are now enforced when you submit, and can no longer be bypassed.
  • Security fix: if your account uses two-factor authentication or a passkey, signed-in recruitment pages now make sure your current sign-in completed that step, sending you to verify and then straight back. Public pages are not affected.
  • Security fix: eligibility checks now fail safely. If a check can't complete, you get an error instead of the check being skipped.

TrucklineMP Discord Bot v1.0.6

Notifications

  • Security fix: website notification DMs now go only to the Discord account currently linked to your TrucklineMP account. If you unlinked or switched Discord accounts, the old account no longer receives your notifications.
  • Security fix: the bot's internal control interface is no longer reachable from the internet, and malformed credentials are rejected without revealing internal details.

TrucklineMP ModBot v0.0.7

Spam protection

  • More thorough spam cleanup. When an account trips the spam trap, ModBot now removes that account's messages from the last two hours in every channel and active thread. Previously it only checked the last 100 messages of each channel and skipped threads.

Invites

  • Security fix: single-use invite links sent by ModBot now only work for the account they were sent to. If someone else joins with the link, they are removed and the intended person receives a fresh invite.
  • Security fix: invite links that failed to deliver, or were replaced by a new one, are now revoked instead of staying valid.
  • Retries no longer send a second invite while the first one is still valid.

Fixes

  • Fixed channel link rules ("no invite links", "no links" and "links only") skipping roughly every other matching message.
