Notice to Parents
Effective date: 26 May 2026
This page is for parents and guardians of young users of TrucklineMP. It explains age limits, what data we store, and how to contact us about a child account.
1. Age Requirements
TrucklineMP is not intended for children under 13. Steam itself sets a minimum age of 13.
If we discover an account belongs to a child under 13, we will take steps to remove the account and associated personal data without verifiable parental consent.
Users under 18 (or the age of legal majority in their jurisdiction) should use the platform with parent or guardian permission.
This policy is intended to align with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) in the United States and with the UK Information Commissioner's Office Age-Appropriate Design Code.
2. What Data We Store
For registered users, we may store:
- account and profile data (username, handle, display name, avatar);
- profile pictures uploaded to our object storage and the result of an automated safety check on those pictures (see section 4 below);
- authentication and session data (session records, login IP, user agent, two-factor authentication status);
- support and community activity data (support tickets, recruitment submissions, VTC and event participation, notifications);
- security and audit records where needed for platform integrity and abuse prevention;
- aggregate analytics events from page visits (cookieless, no fingerprinting — see Privacy Policy section 8).
For full detail, see the Privacy Policy.
3. What We Do Not Sell or Share
We do not sell personal data for monetary or other valuable consideration.
We do not share personal data for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We do not run advertising, retargeting, or third-party trackers on the site.
4. Cookies, Analytics, and Profile-Picture Moderation
- We use only strictly necessary cookies for sign-in, queue position, maintenance bypass, and Cloudflare bot protection. We do not show a cookie consent banner because there is nothing optional to consent to.
- Our analytics are first-party and cookieless. They do not set cookies, do not fingerprint the device, and respect the Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control browser signals.
- Profile pictures uploaded to TrucklineMP are checked by an automated safety service (OpenAI moderation) before publication, to flag categories such as sexual content involving minors, graphic violence, and hate imagery. The image is sent once for the safety check; a record of the check is kept. Blocked or held images go to a human review queue. You can request human re-review at any time.
For storage details, see the Cookie Policy. For analytics and moderation details, see the Privacy Policy.
5. Your Rights as a Parent or Guardian
Depending on applicable law, you may request:
- access to personal data we hold about a child account;
- correction of inaccurate data;
- deletion of a child account and related data (this is the recommended route if you discover your child has registered without permission);
- restriction or objection in specific cases.
Submit privacy and deletion requests through [email protected]. We do not require a fee for the first request in any 12-month period.
We may verify the request through reasonable identity-confirmation steps before acting. For child-account deletion specifically, we will act promptly on receipt of a credible request from a parent or guardian.
6. Third-Party Services
Some optional connected-account features involve third-party providers chosen by the user (Steam, Discord, Google, YouTube, Twitch). Those providers have their own terms and privacy policies and are outside our control.
For a full list of providers we use to operate the platform (hosting, storage, email, CAPTCHA, image moderation, error tracking when deployed), see the Privacy Policy section 9.
7. Talking to Your Child About Online Safety
We encourage parents and guardians to:
- agree on which features your child uses (chat, VTC, recruitment, events);
- enable two-factor authentication on the account;
- review the Information for Young Players page together;
- review the Code of Conduct together so your child understands what is and is not allowed.
8. Contact
If you are a parent or guardian and have concerns about a child account, contact us through [email protected]. For urgent safety concerns, contact local law enforcement first and then us.
